You are very welcome! I think having healthy teams is extremely important. Teams allow us to grow and if we don't have a healthy team, we are going to hinder our possibilities!

I am right there with you Maggie. These children are so vulnerable and need a nurturing home that is going to work with them to get over some of the hurdles they have from being in foster care. Without the Post-Adoption Services, it is going to be harder for the adoptive parents to understand what each of the children needs and how to help them. Sad to say, but in some cases, some of the adoptive parents get so upset when they can't help these kids and the kids start going down the wrong path and they will end up back in the foster care system or the Department of Juvenille Justice. We have got to find a way to help.

As another thought, it is much cheaper on our society to do what is right NOW than to wait some years down the road and we are paying for their stay in DJJ or in the prison system because we didn't help them originally.

You are always welcome to volunteer! We have lots of opportunities, although some of them wouldn't be directly with the children. We are going to be hosting an Agency Rummage Sale on October 30, 2010 at the main office on Middleburg Drive and we definitely could use some volunteers!

Nice article, and yes children in safe, nurturing homes, with the kind of support you all give is sooo needed. Can't find the money??? That baffles me with all this country spends on war. I hear there is a spiritual solution to every problem. I wish I had the monies, but I could be of service...volunteering??!!!!
